The term NDR (Do not leave a trace) is a policy adopted worldwide by responsible tourism companies, who value the maintenance and conservation of protected areas. It is a way to take advantage of all the natural beauty that the mountain, park, forest or beach offers you, causing the least possible impact on the local ecosystem. It can be summarized in the following main practices:

The claim that burying feces has no impact on the ecosystem may not be true. It depends on 3 factors: depth of the hole, distance from a watercourse and soil decomposition capacity. The latter is out of your control, as it depends on the amount of microorganisms present in the soil that has been removed and will cover the waste. Therefore, the most sustainable option is to bring it back and play in the toilet.
